"Sorenity Rocks Malibu's Point Dume location hosted its first Crystal, Pizza, Donut Drive-Thru on Sunday April 26, much to the delight of customers who stayed in their cars, viewed crystals on display and consulted with Lenise Soren, owner of Sorenity Rocks Malibu and producer of wellness entertainment. Practicing social distancing and safety precautions, Joey D'Amore, JR., D'Amore Restaurant Group's director of operations, served up four types of piping hot pizzas. The weekly events will support the play, "The Donut Shop: An Anorexic, A Bulimic and An Over-Eater Get Locked in a Donut Shop,' Soren said.
"We are producing a crystal, pizza and donut drive-thru on Sundays from noon-4pm to highlight the play's purpose and to support local businesses and the community by supplying easy and safe food to go via a drive-thru," Soren Said. "The downloadable play, written by Malibu playwright Carl Stillitano and produced by Sorenity Entertainment, goes beyond a piece of literature - it is a movement."
"The work is a wellness tool, a literacy campaign, and an impactful, interactive experience, not only for the stunning amount of people suffering from addictions but also for families as they read the script together and benefit from this healing and potentially life-changing experience."
Fifty percent of the proceeds from the Sunday drive-thru events will be donated to MALIBUGIVES, a non-profit organization supporting the expansion and development of art, wellness and community in Malibu and beyond.
